In our private cremation service, pet owners are welcome to temporarily place their pet’s ashes at our center.
This arrangement is created to offer a gentle buffer—time and space—for families who have just experienced the loss of their beloved pet.
From a psychological perspective, grief requires time to process.
During this vulnerable period, we believe decisions about the placement of ashes should not be rushed.
Emotional decisions made too soon may lead to regret later on.
When we were renovating our new center, some suggested we build a pet ash columbarium and charge a monthly fee.
It was a practical idea that could also help us offset rental expenses.
However, after careful consideration, we decided not to proceed with that plan.
Why? Because our premises are rented, and there’s always a possibility that we may need to relocate in the future.
As a small, independently-run business, we do not have the long-term structural support that large corporations or groups may have.
Pet memorial parks operated by corporate entities are often able to promise “permanent resting places”
because they have trust funds or other legal mechanisms in place to ensure long-term continuity.
That’s a level of permanence we, at this point, cannot yet promise.
If you’re considering a permanent resting place for your pet’s ashes,
Here are a few suggestions to help guide your decision:
1. Ownership of the premises
Check whether the location is owned (not rented), with long-term or permanent land rights.
2. Legal approval or licenses
Ensure that the site has all proper government authorizations to legally house pet remains.
3. Long-term sustainability
Find out whether the provider has a trust or similar system in place to ensure continuity, even if there is a change in management.
We truly believe:
Companionship is the gentlest goodbye; and caution is a form of lasting love.
If you’re still in grief, there’s no need to rush.
We’re here to support you—until you’re ready to decide what’s best for both you and your beloved pet.
